I have to say, John's Main Event was a very pleasant experience! It's nice that this covid thing seems to be under control, and being vaccinated not having to wear a mask! I had the burger and a side salad, my wife had the Patty melt! The bartender which was amazing, whipped everything up quickly. I wish I asked her name. 4 genuine drafts and a Pepsi and the House special hard lemonade mix, was fantastic. Atmosphere very enjoyable, no idiots hanging around even though the bar was full. I've done plenty of security work at different clubs over the years, and it brought back some good memories! A very pleasant and must stop location for anyone not from the area! Friends moved to Burlington, and our first impression of Burlington was extremely positive, and that's due to John's Main Event and the bartender that was there that day!
I wasn't able to grab a picture of my food because I was too busy destroying its excellence! I had a regular burger (lettuce, tomato, onion) and it was SOOOO good. Loved the fries and I'm not usually a big fry person! Also had the jalapeno poppers which were just as good. My goal was accomplished, because I left completely full without any room to spare in my stomach. Joe and Mike took great care of us today and we will definitely be back in the future. In comparison to the burger place a couple doors down, this burger was definitely better!! Thanks for taking care of us and we look forward to seeing you again soon!
We always have a great time at The Main Event. The food is delicious. They have the best burgers, chicken, wraps, and apps. Drinks are always spot on. And the atmosphere is casual and fun. We love going there!
“ THAT BURGER WAS FIRE” killer flavors in this meat. Cooked perfectly. Medium well is what I like. The bun was very tasty, definitely fresh bread. Probably some of the best bacon I have had on a burger, Need to step up the fry game tho. With a burger like that you need some fresh hand cut fries.. just my opinion. At first when I got there I was not sure if it was table service, but I seen the staff going to the other tables so I was not sure. Took about 15 minutes before someone came over. But when she did, she was very nice and happy to recommend good food. The service continued to get better. The chef brought out the food and checked back after. I “ highly “ recommend getting a burger here. I’m sure the rest of the food is just as good. I will definitely be back again.
Pickle fries tickled my pickle. Olive burger was great and grilled cheese was as good as it gets. It was a party in my mouth.
Great place to catch a Brewers game, and very friendly staff. Excellent drink selections: something for everyone. The food is pretty good as well. Ryan, Amanda, Crystal, and Joe were all pleasant to talk with. Stop by sometime and check this place out!
Amazing details of old world craftsmanship all over the bar. Gorgeous paneling on walls and ceiling. Beautiful stained glass light fixtures. Delicious food. My husband and I enjoyed the burgers. Upgraded to the fries and tots. We will definitely be back!
Just enjoyed a St. Patrick’s Day Guinness and Ruben sandwich. We always enjoy a cold brew at this pub. Great food too. Delish home made soups, great broiled burgers, chicken wraps. And there’s a fun little beer garden in back.
